We offer STI Testing & Treatment for men and women at Mosaic Sexual Health Clinic.
LOW-COST TESTING & TREATMENT
If you are sexually active or think that you have been exposed to an STI, it is advised that you schedule a testing appointment. Click here for additional information on each STI we test for at Mosaic.
Syphilis, HIV, Trichomonas (women only- vaginal swab), and Bacterial Vaginosis are rapid tests, allowing you to receive your results prior to leaving your appointment. Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Trichomonas (men and women- urine sample) tests are sent to Quest Diagnostics. Mosaic staff will call you with results, which are usually available 24-72 hours after testing.

TREATMENT FOR MEN
Gonorrhea is treated at the center. We will call in a prescription to your pharmacy of choice in the case of a positive Chlamydia or Trichomonas test. If you test positive for HIV or Syphilis, we will refer you to your private physician or the Leon County Health Department.

TREATMENT FOR WOMEN
Women who test positive for Gonorrhea return to Mosaic for treatment. We will call in a prescription to your pharmacy of choice if you test positive for Chlamydia, Bacterial Vaginosis, or Trichomonas. If you test positive for HIV or Syphilis, we will refer you to your private physician or the Leon County Health Department.
SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED Infections (STiS)
CAN BE A SERIOUS CONCERN.
Just because STI’s are common doesn’t mean they’re no big deal. Left untreated, some bacterial infections may cause irreversible damage to your reproductive system, which can lead to high-risk pregnancy, miscarriage, infertility, sterility, or other long-term complications.
The Center for Disease Control can provide you with accurate and up-to-date information on each STI.
Additionally, serious complications may also occur if you do not seek treatment for an STI prior to an abortion.
During an abortion procedure, bacteria from Chlamydia or Gonorrhea can travel from your vaginal opening to your uterus. If testing and/or treatment has not occurred prior to the procedure, then you may be at greater risk for developing Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID). It is important to undergo STI screening and treatment if you are planning to go to an abortion clinic.
